Yesterday, I attended the Paw à Peau First Aid workshop for dogs and cats. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I didn’t see many reviews from others who have attended past events but I can honestly say, the workshop was more than worth every cent. If you’re a dog or cat owner who really cares about the health and wellbeing of your companion animal, as most do, you really aught to do this workshop – in the event of an emergency, it could really mean life or death for your loved one.

The event was informative and also fun. The people leading the event were very friendly and intelligent individuals who had time for all of the questions that were asked by the attendees. We were given practical information about what to do in emergencies as well as QR codes for resources that we can go to in the event of poisoning, and we were told what we should do in the event of poisonings with various substances.

We were given a list of first aid kit essentials and taught how to correctly bandage wounds and we were told how to correctly manage wounds that have punctured an artery. We were also taught how to check vital signs and how to differentiate an emergency versus a low risk situation among other things. This knowledge was solidified in activities and there was a quiz with a prize at the end. I’m going to recommend this workshop to all of my friends who have pets and I’ll comment next time they post an event so people know how great this workshop is. 10/10
